I have volunteered to help out the community theater's production of "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and it has severely shortened my sight-seeing time. For those of you unfamiliar with the area, or Japan in general, the usual means of traveling (unless you're an American hooked on automobiles and traffic) involves a quick walk or bike ride to the nearest train station.
